The talk will be followed by a book signing with Dorothée Lépine. Please note that the talk will be conducted in French.
This book shares stories of more than 30 women, whose husbands or partners were some of the most celebrated politicians, musicians, artists and writers from the past three centuries. Some of these exceptional women managed to break free from the constraints of family and society to exercise their talent, to be recognised only years later, while others, celebrated in their time, remain forgotten throughout history.
